COLOURFUL WORLD COLOURFUL WORKS

Universe perhaps is the highest level of mystery. Its creation, the story of the creation and all related to itself. Nobody has the same understanding or even understand the secret behind it. So many why-s being questioned towards the Universe.

One day I was starring at a beautiful morning scene in a little village in Ubud. My place is at the edge of a small alley. Next to the alley is a family temple, beautifully crafted. The penetration of the sunrise slowly giving an amazing gold colours upon the top of those temples. Light blue sky, the white morning cloud scattered here and there. Golden Yellow frangipanis at the corner of the temple area, swaying slowly following the morning breeze.

The combination of the nature colour somehow stunned me. A question came up in my mind.

Do people see the same colours of the Universe just like what I see? Do they see the same green as what I see? Do they see the same color of the sky as what I see? Even there is the same colour code, but who can answer this mystery?

Handojo Simodihardjo as a multi-talented artist translates the story of Sutasoma into some modern paintings. The mission to make Sutasoma known by younger generations triggered those who are involved in the project to stay creative and think forward to make the mission accomplished. Until when? Only The Universe knows

As humans we are created differently. Races which are represented as colours, yellow, red, white, and black. Each colour (race) is important as an individual, but they are needed for various tasks to collaborate together. Yellow and red, the mixture of those 2 colours giving a beautiful spectrum of orange. Can we see the role of any creations as an individual but yet at the same time thinking that its existence are also being part from other creations, to create a new creation?

PS: those paintings displayed are available for sale. If you are interested in any of those paintings please contact us. Or if you want to see other collections, please contact us. Those works are all located in Yogyakarta.
